MaxASL is an educational app that was designed to help children learn American Sign Language (ASL). The idea was to create a mobile solution that would empower kids during their most crucial age from 0 to 5 and present it in lovely videos.
The application introduced a list of videos for each category in both the sentence and full-episode formats. For that measure, our developers created a tailor-made player that enabled playback functionality, including rewind, switching between episodes, and subtitles. For extra convenience, we added offline playback after downloading videos and adding them to the Favorite list.
Our developers took advantage of the HLS protocol for video streaming and DRM protection for securing customer’s content from theft. AWS, on the other hand, was incorporated to ensure fast data flow and make the app scalable.
