BDFIC presents video-call functionality for an Android-like OS. Our customer wanted to develop an app for video calls that complements default features on custom-made phones within its own OS. For that measure, our developers created a standalone app that supports one-on-one and group video calls and became an integral part of the Android-like OS. We also made text chatting a reality for both private and group conversations. What’s more, we added a separate contact list that could borrow existing contacts from a SIM-card or add new friends manually. Users have presented search functionality that works based on name, location, and category.
Our developers also enabled push-notifications for incoming messages and user page customization to make it a fully-fledged social app.
The application was built on ASP .NET and uses the power of Microsoft SQL Server to process data. Java was picked as the coding language for the Android-like system and Twilio API was responsible for processing video-call activities.
